How to Size and Place Your Ceiling Light

1. If you are looking for pendant lighting over an island try cutting out paper-sized round discs or a long template to see what looks good, you can even try a drawing pin with string on the ceiling to hang them (Blue Peter style!) 
2. If you're looking for a ceiling light the best idea is to put a tape measure on the ceiling and drop it down to work out what maximum drop you can have. I would then make sure a tall person can comfortably walk underneath for an 8.25ft ceiling we would suggest no bigger drop than 45-48cm. (please be sure to check)
